Waka Flocka Meet and Greet Video Contest

Time to show some love back to our loyal fans. Throughout this semester we’ve brought you Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Big K.R.I.T., Slim Thug, A$AP Rocky, ScHoolboy Q, Danny Brown, YG and Travis Porter. These have been a huge success, so thank you Texas. We still have shows left to finish out 2012 and they feature some of the dopest acts in hip-hop including Wiz Khalifa, Odd Future and Dom Kennedy. Shits gonna be wild, but right now we want to hook up two different fans with a meet and greet with Waka Flocka for his Austin show this Thursday at Emo’s East. Here are the details of how to enter:

1. Create a video telling us why you think you deserve a meet and greet with Waka. We want to keep this part of it purposefully vague. We want to see y’all get creative but keep it under three minutes.
2. Tweet us a link once your video is on YouTube or Vimeo using the hashtag #MeetWakaATXContest Example: “@WeScoreMore here is my video for the youtube.com/mywakavideo3i24io #MeetWakaATXContest” Just make sure to include our ScoreMore handle and the hashtag to be entered to win.

We’ll contact the winners Wednesday night with details on the meet and greet. Have your video in by 10 PM on Wednesday to be entered. Good luck!

Macadelic Texas Tour [video]

We’ve been working with Mac Miller since 2009. We were there for Mac’s first sellout shows in 2010 when he was cruising around in a sprinter van and again for his Blue Slide Park tour in 2011. Fast forward another year and he’s accompanied by 5 tour buses and 2 full 18-wheeler trucks of production. Mac’s rise to superstardom, including a number one independent album, is unparalleled. As Mac has grown, so have we, so for the first time it was necessary for ScoreMore to rent out an arena in order to present Mac Miller’s Macadelic Texas shows. With over 4,000 in attendance in Dallas, TX as well as huge crowds in Lubbock and Austin, this video gives you a taste as to what its like to get Macadelic.

Kendrick in Houston Postponed to December 29

Kendrick Lamar : Houston : We’d be lying if we said we wanted to postpone this show. Of course we didn’t. It was out of our hands. With that being said – most promoters and artists would have just cancelled the show, gave y’all your $ back and scheduled a new show on a more expensive ticket at a bigger venue. Kendrick is one of the hottest artists in the world right now. But no, TDE stuck with us, making it possible for you all to see Kendrick in a small/intimate setting instead of an arena. Furthermore we have something planned that will make this a very unique experience. I just wanted to drop y’all a note, and explain how hard we’ve battled to do right by you.” – Sascha on behalf of the ScoreMore family.

Kendrick will be in Houston on December 29. Snag your tickets now.

Solange Knowles – Losing You

Source: Okayafrica.com

I’m not sure how many Solange fans there out there, but this video needs to be seen nonetheless. The song is titled “Losing You”, and the production was done by Dev Hynes of Blood Orange. The dreamy fun vibes of the beat juxtaposes the lyrics amazingly. The words provide you with a sense of sadness and uncertainty, but the beat just makes you want to dance and enjoy a great day in the sun. Crazy! Much like the song, this video also provides a contrast of the beauty that can come out of a country that is traditionally thought of as ugly and unfortunate, the Congo. I absolutely love the video, but everyone’s entitled to their own opinion. Also, check out what Solange had to say about the inspiration for this video here.
